feed me!

I snuck in to see how the babies were doing, was able to get a quick shot of one baby, politely requesting his lunch.

baby birdie

Discovered Friday afternoon, just outside my studio window... I snuck in to take pictures of the two tiny speckled eggs, and realized that one of them was hatching as I stood there.

a new hobby

While being away from the blog, I've also taught myself how to crochet (finally, after all these years knitting, but having pattern-jealosy over all the unique crochet projects in the world)... A friend asked me which I liked better, knitting or crocheting, and I realized it's like asking a mother which of her children she likes better. :) Here's one of my favorite crochet items so far:

baby gifts

I haven't posted anything new recently, so thought I'd catch up on what I've been working on... lots of baby gifts! So many new babies being born this year to friends and family!

First is a tiny sweater, made for Baby Conner. Knitted in Bernat Cottontots from Gina Bonomo's Bitty Boy Bump pattern.

Next was Baby Evan, his mom is a wonderful photographer so I knitted him a Chunky Gnome Hat and Chunky Diaper Cover - can't wait to see how she photographs him in them! (both patterns were totally improvised... waiting to hear how the fit is, then will type up to share)

And finally I just wrapped up a pair of Buccaneer Booties (pattern from Mamachee's Etsy Shop) for Baby Franklin, who is due very soon! Crocheted in Red Heart Eco Ways, bamboo/ wool blend.
