Felted Egg Cozy Critters - new pattern!

Available now for purchase on Ravelry - a knit pattern used to create a menagerie of spring critters - instructions included for a chick, bunny, lop-eared bunny and lamb. Pattern includes instructions for both double pointed needle and straight needle versions.

Felted baby slippers - free pattern


Materials:1 skein Paton’s Classic WoolSize US 15 needles
(or other worsted weight, feltable yarn)

Tapestry needle
1/4" wide elastic

Slippers are knit in one piece, starting at the heel end of the sole.

Easter chick egg cozy

The original pattern as my grandmother passed along to me... I (of course) can't leave well enough alone and am putting together instructions for a new, improved, felted version... watch for it soon  :)

Materials:
Size US 9 needles
4 ply yarn
CO 10 stitches
Knit in garter stitch a scant inch (approx. 5 rows).
CO 9 stitches at the beginning of the next two rows (28 stitches total)
Continue in garter stitch for one scant inch.
Work in K2, P2 ribbing for an additional inch. (piece is 3 inches total in length from original CO edge)
On the next row, K2tog across all stitches (14 sts. total).
BO all stitches.
Fold in center of largest part, sew back seam. Sew top and side of head.
Fill with a hard boiled egg, or plastic egg filled with yummy candy!
